The only way for me to keep carnivorous plants, such as Venus Flytraps, is to do so inside.
I have kept the same plants for around two years now, and they rest on an east facing windowsill. I recently added a third plant, but am considering moving all of them into an old fish aquarium.
I used to have a pitcher plant hanging from the ceiling in the middle of my home near a south facing window, but I went on a trip and the house sitter forgot to water the poor guy. I could not revive "her," as much as I tried. Also, it never really flourished, even indoors, because the humidity was never high enough for it fully bloom.
Until I can build a greenhouse outside, flying bugs beware when inside my home!
